Cutlers’ Hall, Sheffield
We’ve borrowed the “Interesting” concept from Russell Davies. There has never been one in the North of England. He says it’s okay, and we think it’ll be great.
Fish is brain food and so is this. Book your ticket now.
What do I get though?
For £20, we’ll give you a day of the best, most leftfield talks. We’ll probably throw in a cup of tea, a spot of lunch and maybe some free stuff from people who like us, too.*
A fistful of brilliant people will be performing talks on a small stage. They will be speaking about Eyjafjallajökull, James Bond as architecture critic, riding side-saddle, losing their mind, feral children and what you can learn from Lego.
There’s loads more, but that’s quite enough to be going on with.
Isn’t Sheffield miles away?
Get the train, it’s probably only an hour or so from wherever you are. Sheffield is really lovely, so it’s worth visiting anyway.
Once you’re here, Cutlers’ Hall is a few minutes walk from the station. Seamless.
How many business cards should I bring?
It’s a Saturday, so there’s no need to stress about business outputs or high-level networking or whatever you’re supposed to get from a ‘conference’.
Turn up, be entertained, fill a notebook, meet some good people.
Okay, how do I keep up to date?
Do the modern thing and follow us on Twitter. We’re using the hashtag #intNorth, if you want to do that too.
You can see (some) of the interesting people who will be coming over at Lanyrd (and don’t forget to add yourself there, too…)
* Absolutely no promises, but we’ll do our best.
