We have a tiny bit of sad news — we have decided to pull the plug on Interesting North this year.
There are a few reasons why, but it is mostly due to the time pressures we’ve faced.
Everyone involved in Interesting North is a bit busier than they were last year, and – coupled with the much earlier date in the calendar – we have found ourselves staring at a mountain of things to do without the time to do them.
It’s a shame, but we would much rather not do the event than bugger it up after last year’s tremendous day.
We would like to thank everyone who bought tickets so far (refunds will be forthcoming shortly), the organisations who offered to put in money and resources, the speakers we had lined up and everyone involved in getting it this far.
We are thinking of retooling for 2012, a little bit wiser and with some extra time put aside to make it work.
